Brand and Website Launch for Chris Bosh

My Designs

Happy Monday my friends! I am so very, very excited to share this brand and website launch with you, as it has a unique style that I’ve been itching to do! For those who may not recognize the name, Chris Bosh plays for the Miami Heat and just recently got back on the court after dealing with a very serious blood clot. This launch and re-brand comes at the perfect time, not only because he is healthy and back in the game but also to get to know him on a different level…his interests, family, and some of his passions other than basketball.

I typically do not get face-to-face time with my clients, but back in March I was able to fly down to Miami to meet with Adrienne to check out Sparkle and Shine Darling  and catch up with her project for her new store (opening soon)! While I was there we not only were able to sight-see, go to the beach, attend a couple Heat games, but also was able to discuss with Chris how he wanted to re-brand. He had a couple key words: dapper, hip, creative, mysterious, and authentic. I also did warn him I have a bit more of a feminine touch to my designs, but he re-assured me that’s what he wanted because of his growing market of female and children.

We started with the color palette, keeping it overall neutral, slightly mysterious, but with hints of blue as well as a couple textures.  Once nailing down the color palette we started working on the logo variations. I wanted to show a variety of different styles and layouts, from cursive, full name, layered, textured, etc. From there we narrowed perfected the final logo and elements.

After finalizing the logo I created the full brand board to include a secondary logo option, as well as a sub mark that could be used across his social media platforms.

Then onto the website design, something clean, classic, and easy to navigate. So we highlighted the header with a large photo and continued the blog below it. Overall keeping it modern, yet classic.
