A few months back my friends Cherry Blossom Events and I had a meeting about an upcoming styled shoot and after we got done chatting they asked what I thought if they hired me to do their website. I literally jumped for joy when I heard them say that. They have such a clean, creative and beautiful style and I knew they were in need of a timeless brand and website design that reflected just that..one that can grow with them.
Because they are almost going on 10 years in business (and the top Event Planner here in Madison, Wisconsin) we decided to do a brand refresh. They wanted to keep the overall look, with their CB floral monogram and their name below, but freshen it up to look more sophisticated and clean.
MOOD BOARD
We started with the mood board, and I honestly couldn’t wait to show them and dive into the logo design. Their style has a slight nod to the lovely Magnolia with an overall clean and natural vibe but also has those slight hints of timeless and classic.
LOGO DESIGN
As we moved into the logo, we wanted to make sure it felt not only sophisticated but timeless and creative. By mixing the serif font along with my hand-written script it was the perfect pairing. It was beautiful but not intimidating. Not only that, but I worked on updating their monogram to look a bit cleaner and also have that hint of Moroccan tile (as you can see in their pattern). I honestly couldn’t be happier with the final result, it’s perfect for them!
WEBSITE DESIGN
As we started working on the website design, they knew they wanted to have just a little bit of color, use as much imagery of their beautiful work, and include those subtle details of the hand-written script. The final result was perfect, and just what they needed as they move onto a decade in business. Not only that, but we also worked on a launch plan that included various launch graphics, mockup-ups, and even some styling for their Pinterest board covers and their Instagram story covers (using the beautiful and creative tiles). Take a peek below!
