Favorite Fonts of the Month : Vol 01

tips + tools

Hi friends, I thought I would try something new and share with you at the beginning of each month a few of my favorite fonts that I’m currently swooning over. Because I’m constantly sourcing fonts and typefaces for my branding projects I thought it would only make sense to share them with you!  I’ll do my best to make a range of them as well, from free, to budget-friendly, to gotta have it! So, let’s dive into my Favorite Fonts of the Month : March Edition!   P.S. SEE THEM ALL HERE

If you are anything like me and stumbled on pretty typeface graphics on Pinterest (or shared to my board HERE), you probably have seen both of these. CHLOE. which is a classic but bold typeface and THE STYLE EDIT which is a messy and chic script.

CHLOE.

I’m still waiting for the day I have a client come to me wanting a straight to the point typeface for their logo…because she would be perfect. It’s timeless, bold, a bit feminine (with the sleek curves) and simply eye-catching.  She is only $15 and has a few sister fonts that are also insanely gorgeous…THE FRAGILE COLLECTION.

THE STYLE EDIT

I’ll be honest, the font designer did such a great job creating the graphics for this font, that it just pulls you in for more. Lately, I’ve been drawn into the more monoline, hand-written scripts (over calligraphy) and think this one is quite beautiful paired with a variety of font styles.

Bonus: She has over 90 ligatures and swashes to play with! So for those with OpenType programs (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc) you’ll have a ton of fun with her.

Because we all know how much we love ourselves some free fonts, I spotted this beauty over at Behance and thought I would share! You’ll notice the similarities between her and The Style Edit, so if you are going for that messy/edgy vibe, you gotta swipe her up!

  1. I love these. My goal next year is to establish a brand for my real estate agency.

  2. Reiver says:

Both great, but I love the style edit; I feel like using it to inspire my own messy-stylish handwriting.

I love brush pen calligraphy, but it’s everywhere now, so I am more drawn to these monolines.

The free font is good too.

    Thank you.

  3. […] kicked off a new blog series where she features her favorite font finds of the month, including a freebie to download. […]

    Hello,
These are so helpful! What is the name of the font used for your body copy on the website? And what is the name of the sans serif font used at the bottom of each of your font of the month samples?

    Many thanks!

  7. Theresa says:

Hello, I really love every font you shared!
Thank you for sharing beautiful fonts.
Can I ask you which font did you use for ‘A CHIC MESSY SCRIPT ‘ part? Thank you:)
