4 Pages You Can’t Forget About on Your Website

tips + tools

I was recently chatting with Sam & Rachel over at Northfolk (where my Showit Collection is ;) and talked about all the different page templates we have to design for each new Showit Template. And it’s a lot… like 20+ pages a lot!

But, to be honest, some of those pages are super necessary. I wanted to take the time to share, what I’ll call, “fly-over pages” that people tend to forget about and not take advantage of.

No.1 – The 404 Page

If you’ve had your website for a while, like me, I can almost guarantee visitors have landed on your 404. Make sure you have buttons that allow them to search, to head to your homepage, and to be able to navigate through your website.

You can also utilize this page to guide them to do something fun, like a quiz! – Here’s an example on the Palma Template

4 Pages You Can't Forget About on Your Website

No.2 – Thank You Pages

These are super simple pages, but the beauty of them (especially with showit templates) is that you can easily duplicate and tweak them based on your needs.

For example, if someone submits my contact form they will get my general Thank You page. If someone signs up on my email list, that is another one. If someone submits my Template Customization, they will get about 3 different Thank you pages during the process.

On them, you can guide them even more. For example, if they submit a form for your design services, the thank you page could include a ‘what to expect next’ step or showcase your latest project.

No.3 – Social Links Landing Page

Personally, I am not a fan of linktr.ee, especially if you have a Showit website. With pages like THIS ONE on Palma, you can utilize it for sooo much more than just links.

I recommend keeping it updated with recent reels or pins and any freebies/tutorials/podcasts.

No.4 – Search Page Template

First off, here’s a quick tip: make sure you have the search bar in an easy-to-spot place on your blog ;)

When someone does search for something, you could customize this page to not only show results, but on the side you can add links to ‘popular posts’ or have something fun saying “still can’t find it, send me a quick message”
Image item.

Don’t sleep on these pages!

P.S. if you haven’t seen them yet, you can check out my latest templates in the Northfolk x Saffron Collection HERE and use code: SAFFRONAVENUE for a little discount ;)
