Our first trip to Beautiful Dreams Playa Mujeres Mexico

So yeah, I forgot to post my pics from our first trip to Dreams Playa Mujeres Mexico! As you can quickly see, I didn’t realize how absolutely gorgeous Mexico is..especially when the sun hit the water just right. This trip for my husband and I was actually the first time out of the country and the farthest South we have ever traveled. BUT, we, unfortunately, had pretty terrible weather over the 7 days (very windy and rained or down-poured almost every day)..but we still had a blast!

We opted to do the premium stay and so as you can see above we had that little room to make our own drinks and even a semi-private pool right off of our room. Again, we couldn’t ever swim in it..because it was too cold and windy. I’m talking low 70s and chilly when the sun wasn’t out. But, hey..they had my favorite Gin + Tonic ingredients (Hendricks + Cucumber + Lemon).

As you know..I made my husband and I these cute little cups which I will highly recommend for any all-inclusive vacation! We took these little things everywhere with us. Oh, and those pink flamingo floaties have yet to be used (due to weather), but I know they will come in handy sometime!

I think the highlight of our trip was going on the Catamaran with the whole crew (or most of them).  When we arrived they said they gave us a larger boat due to weather…friends, it still wasn’t that large, so I don’t even want to know what the other one was. As we set sail, the wind definitely picked up (and some light rain), so we made some drinks and enjoyed the ride.

We then got to this tiny little island and I realized I’ve never seen such beautiful water in my life. Not only that, but it was calm, serene, and so damn gorgeous…and then it hit, the hard downpour (so we couldn’t get off and explore). But, as you can see below once the rain stopped we had the most fun.

I don’t know if I’ll do Mexico again, or a large all-inclusive like that (my body hated me after and the trip was non-stop). BUT, wow did we have fun and made so many amazing memories :) –  And we signed off with a good ‘ol ‘W’ for Wisconsin ;)
