I wanted to share with you my will you be my bridesmaid box that I was going to feature on Style Me Pretty (decided to take a different route). I put together a DIY wooden box that included a little champagne and a booklet of what to expect. If you have’t seen it yet I was inspired by this post here, but put my own spin on it with the details and the design. I started with a plain wooden box from Michaels and stained it dark walnut and hand painted each girls name on it with white paint. Inside of the box I pulled together a few pieces that would give them an overall better idea of our wedding and style.
I included a booklet of the wedding details, bridesmaid dress ideas, a short description of each maid, my color palette, my wedding inspiration board, and a few photos of where we will be staying and where the wedding will be held at.
I had a custom stamp made for the engagement party shoot so I used that to tie around a mini Sofia champagne can. A couple of my girls are pregnant so they just have to hold on to it until the wedding to enjoy it!

Such a cute idea!
Thanks Rachel! And I should thank the other brides before me with their ‘box’ ideas, it was so fun!
Love this idea!!! Would you mind sharing the subjects you included in the booklet? So adorable!
Hi Ali, I was thinking about that, I might snap a few photos after all of my girls get them and add it to the post!
that would be amazing!! Thank you Angela!! You are so darn talented! :)
Hi Angela! Your boxes were absolutely amazing. I am new to your blog and wanted to know if photos of the subjects were ever added. I’d like some inspiration on where to go if you didn’t mind.
Hi there,
I’m not sure if I ever did, but if you send me an email to hello@saffronavenue.com I can see if I can find the original PDF of it!
Such a beautiful gift! Nice work.
Thank you Kali!
Wow this is amazing Angela! Love it! Absolutely beautiful and so thoughtful too!
Thank you Sandra, I had fun doing them too ;)
Wow! Every detail is simply gorgeous. And that booklet = LOVE!
Thank you Lauren, it was a lot of fun making them!
I absolutely love this! Especially the booklet – some really cute and quirky ideas! The design is impeccable and so stylish!
Thank you so much!!
[…] If you remember, I posted a month or so back about our ‘Will You Be My Bridesmaid?’ Box here, we decided we needed to do one for the Groomsman as well! Feel free to see the full post HERE […]

Did you use any conditioner or topcoat on the box when staining it? I love its look!
I just put the stain right on and then I do think I did a clear top coat on this one (but it really didn’t make much difference).
This is PERFECT, literally encompasses my vision for my girls’ boxes. Would you mind sharing a template of the booklet pages for one DIY bride in Jersey?! It would really help me tons as I’m planning to ask my girls next month & between all the other planning and my busy work schedule it’s been hard to dedicate quality time to putting something beautiful together.
Hi there,
Thank you Melissa! Unfortunately I don’t have a template for it :( And I’m not quite sure where it is anymore (I since have gotten a new computer). I’m so sorry that’s not helpful at all!!
That is so unfortunate! WhT program did you use? Maybe I can figure out something similar to do.
Hi! Love the box!! Weird question.. do you remember what kind of paint you used or if you used a special paint brush?! I just love the thickness of the names!!
I think I did just acrylic paint and a small detail paint brush, on the other boxes I used a paint pen from Michaels. Thanks!
I love these! Did you ship them or just deliver in person? Just wondering about the champagne and shipment! :)
Thank you! Delivered in person, but I would have shipped them if I had too (with the champagne) I like to live on the edge like that ;)
Ha! OK! Yeah, I have a few maids that will have to have their’s sent through the mail. I’ll just have to ask for forgiveness if anything comes up! ;) Thanks!
Good luck! (Ps I’ve had wine sent to me a couple times through friends, and it made it’s way!)
What script font do you use in the booklet?
Hi there,
That is actually my own calligraphy!
This may be a dumb question, but how did you make sure all of the pages in the booklet were the same size? Did you design them with borders?
Yep, typically print a faint border!
