Hi friends, so we literally have 2 weeks until we fly down to Wilmington for our May 1st wedding! Eeeeeeeeeeee!  If you have been following my instagram you may know that I haven’t been able to put too much time into planning all the small details (hello business owner)! So, I am taking the next two weeks off to finish working out all of the details, from getting the flowers, final rentals, seating chart, menu, and of course allll of the small crazy details that I am trying to do!  I do still have some projects I have to work on, but I’ll be trying to free my mind of work stress to really enjoy these next couple weeks…the best I can.  That first week of May I will be starting my new Summer projects and will be working diligently getting our themes up and running!

So, I won’t be checking/responding to emails as much and will be doing my best to get back to everyone post wedding..because let’s be real, I’ve been planning this wedding since I was 13 and don’t want to regret not taking it all in these next couple weeks.

Lastly, I couldn’t be more excited about our wedding..we’ve been together for about 8 years and I wanted to be a wedding planner since I was 13. I actually have a binder from my sophomore year in high school on how to plan a wedding under $5,000…no joke, it was part of my home economics class!  I’ll have to dig it out and see what I planned, I’m pretty sure it did include tulips, and outdoor wedding, and probably some hideous dresses!  And to think that the time has come is bittersweet, I’m excited but sad it’s going to be over.  I’m definitely going overboard with some items, but I want every single guest to feel special and have it be beyond memorable. I’ll keep you posted along the way so feel free to follow the wedding #klovesa2015

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. It’s such a heady, exciting time in a person’s life. Having been happily married (to the same man) for over 20 years, all I can say is enjoy the day, enjoy each other and remember that the wedding is just a day; the marriage is forever (hopefully). Best wishes.
