Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween and a lovely weekend. Last week I bit the bullet and finally bought myself a nice new camera, eeeek! I have 15 days to see if I really want to keep it..and so far I’m thinking it is a keeper. (Canon Rebel t3i) I have been wanting a nice camera for a long time, but have a hard time spending money (I get serious buyers remorse)..but had to re-assure myself it is worth it and will only help my business. With that beings said I have a lot of learning to do..especially getting down the darn lighting! Below are a few of the photos I took thus far and hope to keep them coming!
As for the photo above, I wanted to share one of my blog lovin favorites, For the Love of Gold. I recently found her blog and fell in love, it is full of beautiful colors, interior inspiration, and a fabulous fashion. Check it out here and follow the blog here!
My growing collection of Julep polish, I am a Julep Maven and cannot wait each month to get my lovely little package. You can get your first box free here!
And some halloween decor leftovers!

I bought a t3i last year and it was life changing! no really though, I find myself carrying it way more often than I did my other camera because I spent so much money I was constantly trying to make it worth it. Plus my photos were such better quality, it encouraged me to take more. Definitely one of my favorite purchases of all time. You won’t regret it!
SO GLAD TO HEAR IT’S A KEEPER! THAT CAMERA IS AT THE TOP OF MY CHRISTMAS WISH LIST!
I did the same thing a few years back when I got my t2i, I also get major buyers remorse. I knew it would only help me be forced to learn some photography skills which I definitely needed! Have fun with your new camera!
Thank you! And it definitely forces me to learn photography…which is worth it!
I just bought a nice camera as well and I absolutely agree that it was terrifying to spend that much money. I also spent the first few days questioning if I should keep it or not– I ended up keeping it because of how many times I said outloud “wow! look how great that picture turned out!” I think it is totatlly worth it–especially if it will make your beautiful website even better! Have fun with your new toy!
Ha, I agree! The last 3 photos are not even edited..crazy!
Yesssss! You did finally did it! You reminded me I actually need to start using mine. Photos look too!
I just bought the T3i in August! Best decision ever. Seriously a game changer!
Really beautiful photos! You should definitely keep your camera! I love Brittany’s blog as well, she is so talented. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing…. I have been thinking of buying a camera. I guess I will add to my Christmas wish list.
I would definitely recommend the T3i, it has a slight learning curve but really worth it!
I have the Cannon Rebel T3i and love it. I think you should keep it. I have major buyers remorse on almost everything over $25. I never looked back from the day I bought that camera. Your going to love it.
Thanks melissa..and I am the same thing with anything over $25!
Oh yay! You got it! I really think you should keep it! I know it’s a lot of money, but you’re right, it will definitely help with your business :) As for Brittany’s blog, I recently found it also through Jessica – Creative Index – it’s truly beautiful!
If I can take photos like you some day..I am definitely going to keep it! And I love Creative Index!
A little late to the game – but so excited for the mention! Thank you for reading the blog (I’m a long time fan of yours too!). XO
