I love the Christmas..more for the decor than the gifs really, so with that I decided to up and buy a little tree for our apartment! We weren’t going to get one since it’s just adding another thing to the list to pack up when we move. But. I spotted a $20 tree at Target and decided to just do it! Then I had to decide what colors to put on it…and does it surprise you I went with black, white, and glitter! I gave myself a $50 budget to pull the tree together, and wanted to get creative!
I love my black and white striped ribbon so I went along with that theme and decided to paint a few ornament bulbs myself. I purchased a few clear plastic ornaments from Hobby lobby for 1/2 off (yay!) I squeezed both black or white acrylic paint into each bulb and shook it like crazy. After that I used my white pain pen to draw on the black bulbs. And then used black paint to create the white bulbs. I still need to spray them with clear coat..but aren’t they just fun!
And we can’t forget this fun mug that is now in my shop! You can check it out here!

Love love this. It funny how you choose black and white because initial I was doing the same with gold but couldn’t find any black bulbs I like, so I scrapped that plan. Anyway, I love to bulbs and the new mug!
Thank you so much! And I couldn’t find black bulbs either, that’s why I made them myself!
These are gorgeous! I made it look so easy too!
