Yesterday I found a lovely little class on Skillshare and wanted to share it with you. It is a calligraphy class taught by the very talented Molly Jacques (whom I adore) and couldn’t be more excited to see what the calligraphy class has to offer. The class teaches the basic tools and fundamentals for creating modern calligraphy with a pointed pen, and creating a unique alphabet of your own. I love calligraphy and cannot wait to start the class on Sept. 25! BONUS: If you use this LINK and sign up for the class you receive $10 off your first class (and in return I get a credit for another class :)
If you click on my affiliates/products/advertisers links, I may receive a tiny commission. P.S. the products that I share are the ones I believe in.
I’ve had learning calligraphy on my bucket list for a really long time and this is the perfect opportunity to try it out! Thanks for posting this!!
Totally signed up for this! “See” you there.
I signed up for it too! I’ve been wanting to learn calligraphy forever, and your beautiful logos on your design site completely inspired me!! Do you do your own calligraphy for them, or modify fonts?
Hi there, I hope you liked the class! I usually do my own calligraphy for logos, I am now attempting watercolor calligraphy! Eeek!
Hi there! I am contemplating signing up for Molly’s class (huge fan of hers as well!) and was wondering if you could share your experience or feedback thus far (thanks for the discount code, by the way!). Surprisingly the supplies are not expensive and the class seems like an amazing deal, but I just wanted to find out if you felt it was honestly worth it considering all of the free YouTube videos out there. I have always been interested in hand lettering and was actually hoping to learn calligraphy to address our wedding save the dates and invites..plus maybe do some signage here and there. I know that may be shooting for the stars, but anything’s possible!
XOXO,
Rebecca

Hi Rebecca,
I would definitely recommend it if you are very new to calligraphy. I personally was more advanced for the class because I have been practicing for awhile now. So if you are starting from scratch I would definitely recommend it, but if you already have the knowledge of how calligraphy works (creating letters, when to press down, thickness, etc) it may not be for you. But, for the price (and discount) it really does have good content and has some PDFs you can download to trace and practice with..which I enjoyed.
Hope that helps!
Thank you so much–that is exactly the insight I needed. I think, since I am absolutely brand-new, I will sign up for the class. I would love it if you shared some additional resources that are helping you along now that you’re past the “beginner” stage.
XOXO,
Rebecca

Hi again! The Mr. is attempting to help fulfill my calligraphy dreams and has ordered me all the beginner items Molly has suggested on Skillshare and wants to purchase the class for me. Just curious, but did the $10 off code expire? We clicked the link above in your post and the class is still showing $20. When I looked on the website about referring a friend I didn’t notice an expiration date. Just wanted to check!
Thanks!
Rebecca

That is so exciting! I actually put a couple calligraphy starter kits on my christmas list too! I’m ont sure why the link doesn’t work, so try this one! http://skl.sh/18LvBaK
Enjoy!
It’s still listing the cost as $20 so maybe there is a hidden expiration? No big deal, $20 is still such an incredible deal, although I suppose you may not get your $10 credit. :( I don’t foresee signing up for the class until a week or two after Christmas so if you find anything out just let me know–you can direct e-mail me if that’s easier. Rebecca.S.Woodcock@Gmail.com Thanks for looking into it!
XOXO,
R
I just sent a personal invite, hopefully that will work!
