I Created a Free Brand Clarity ChatGPT Prompt for Creative Businesses

AI for Designers

I just recorded a podcast with a friend where we talked about how AI can play a role in creative businesses. I know there’s a real fear among many creatives that AI will take our jobs or ruin authentic creativity. For some people, sure they might go that route and decide to depend on AI for everything. But it doesn’t have to take away from your creative process (or your talent).

What AI can do is help you dive in, get started, and even bring things to the surface that you might have otherwise miss.

I’m actually in the middle of creating my first training video, and I realized that’s exactly how I’ve been using AI already. I use my own custom GPT to analyze client homework and help me organize brand keywords, adjectives, and related terms that I then use to search for inspiration, stock imagery, and patterns. After that, I cross-reference everything with what I’ve already gathered myself.

It’s almost like having a second set of eyes… eyes I didn’t have before.

And for someone who’s visually creative but not naturally word-driven, this has been so helpful.

As a brand designer, I don’t use AI to create logos, emblems, artwork, or websites. But I do use it for analyzing, planning, organizing, and even creating mockups that still feel original and aligned with a client’s brand.

With that in mind, I decided to officially share one of my custom GPTs with the world. I’ve been nervous to do so, but this one (below) is a great start.

The goal of this GPT is to help creative business owners quickly identify gaps, inconsistencies, or a lack of clarity in their brand.

This “Brand Clarity GPT analyzes your website, socials, marketing assets, Pinterest inspiration, and more, then gives you a clear breakdown of what’s working and what needs attention.

That might be your brand visuals (honing in on colors, fonts, or overall style), your messaging clarity, your offer structure, or even how things are showing up across platforms. It may suggest changes to your bio, your social marketing, or other small but meaningful details.

How neat, right?!

Once everything is broken down, it will offer thoughtful suggestions on which of my offerings or products would be the best fit based on their needs, budget, and timeline. It can even go a step further and suggest which semi-custom brand or Showit template aligns best (if provided with brand inspiration links and detailed answers to the qualifier questions :)
