I realized I forgot to share my weekend trip to Milwaukee with you in December (insert embarrassed emoji). So, I thought I would do a quick re-cap for you! Although I’ve lived in Madison for a few years I really haven’t taken any trips to actually check out Milwaukee and see what it has to offer. I’ve been to the Historic Third Ward once or twice (which I’m obsessed with), but never really ventured much farther. So, Travel Milwaukee invite me and a friend to take some time and get to see what Milwaukee has to offer. I created a little itinerary for us and snaps some pics, check it out below!
For this little Christmas in Milwaukee weekend, we stayed at the Marriott Hotel right downtown and although we didn’t spend too much time at the hotel we loved our stay. Every single person was beyond kind and helpful!
We started out by checking out a few local shops!
INSPIRED MILWAUKEE
MOD GEN MILWAUKEE
THE HOME MARKET
THE HARBOR HOUSE
Our delicious dinner on Rriday night!
Saturday we got up bright and early to do a Bakery Food Tour! We hit up about 8 or 9 different bakeries, which you know I loved!
One of my favorites was Simma’s Bakery — their cheesecake was to die for!
We also stopped quickly into Rose’s for a flower and some puppy kisses!
After the tour we made sure to visit the
MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM
And for some lunch we hit up the
MILWAUKEE PUBLIC MARKET
Saturday night we got some sweets, dinner, and Holiday play!
INDULGENCE CHOCOLATIERS
If you like wine or chocolate, you MUST go here! It was perfect before getting our dinner.
WOLF-PEACH RESTAURANT
This place was so beyond good! It was wood-fired, local, and beyond friendly. I highly, highly, highly recommend this!
THE CHRISTMAS CAROL
Oh friends, this was a highlight from the weekend. I haven’t been to a Christmas play since middle school (maybe earlier) and this one felt magical. From the snow outside, the spiked warm drinks, the acting, and the amazing stage design (very impressive). It was so memorable and want to make it a tradition!
On Sunday we had the opportunity to check out a few more shops, explore the Historic Third Ward (as it snowed), and grabbed lunch before heading home!
