Happy Thanksgiving to everybody! I hope you all had a great dinner with some great people! I thought I would update you with my little turkey day dinner. Like I posted below I wanted to go with a Gold, Bronze, Turquoise, and White color scheme. Well what do you think? I actually had other plans in mind. I wanted to create a centerpiece with gold and bronze painted pumpkins and some sort of candle arrangement, (tapers, floating, or just votives)…well I soon found out that North Carolina doesn’t sell pumpkins or gourds past Halloween (what!?), yeah! So then I thought I would find some neat leaves that I could paint or even create a centerpiece with…well I also found out there are not many tree’s with large leaves around here. I had the option of buying leaves, but for some reason that just seemed silly. So this is what I went with, some bronze/gold ribbon and baby’s breath. I couldn’t even find a blue linen at the rental place so I used a curtain. But, all in all it all turned out great. This was my first Holiday away from home, and you know what it was perfect. I was able to decorate the table, eat delicious (Italian) homemade food, have great conversations, and even took a walk down to the boardwalk while sipping on coffee (w/chocolate vino). There was a crisp breeze which made it all perfect. So to everybody, I hope you had a lovely Holiday and wish you a happy weekend!
